Believe In Life

Poems on Track I

Believe In Life

Where do we go
when the day is through
and our thoughts run free
without a noose
to hold us back
from what we choose
to be our dreams,
beyond the schemes
of frivolous play.

As day becomes night
the soul takes off in flight
toward distant lands
beyond the hands of time
where minds relinquish
what they know
and in return
accept the flow
of colored waves that pierce
the soul.

As sound rejuvenates the plight
to seek beyond the colored lights
we join the whirls
of wisping sights,
connecting colors
to bear bright white...

And then the soul
revives the mind
and back we go
into the skies
to open up
our sleepy eyes
and hear a voice
that gently cries,
"believe in life."

This Golden Moment

Cosmic thought explodes into love
to from a blaze of light
expanding outward
at fantastic speeds,
turning blackness to white...

And while the dazzling brilliance expands,
pushing through endless space,
God unfolds a loving plan
to form a special place
upon an arm of swirling stars,
a speck of dust to be
the spawning ground
for seeds of love
known as you and me.

Here together we share this time
to nurture and perceive
the ever-changing ceaseless flame
of love's unfolding dream
that captures life
here and now
within
this golden moment.

Cosmic Song

Endlessly we walk away
to other tales foretold
by cosmic forces
on a wave
that penetrate
the soul
with light,
we never see,
with sound,
we never hear...

Yet secretly it lures
our hearts
and calmly makes
it clear
the peaceful path
of letting go
to all our
earthly fears
for nothing here
can harm the soul—
soul never dies.

So cease your senseless
search for why
and let your love be strong
for in the end
it's living life
that helps
this world belong
to colored waves
of cosmic light
that sing
the cosmic song.

For Just A Moment

For just a moment
I thought I could see,
for just a moment
our lives will be
and in that moment
when time retrieves
the love, the joy,
the memories of days gone by
when living free without a care
brought thoughts of hope
beyond despair
for what was there
we had to share,
for what was there
we paid the fare
with lives gone by
in shattered dreams
that cracked
like ice from melting schemes
to freeze once more
and change the scene—

for just a moment
I thought I could see.

Another Step Anew

At birth into this world
our journey thus begins
and with each step anew
there's something deep within
that knows the truth of who we are
and what this life can be—

Call it spirit, call it God,
it calls to you and me
to know each precious moment here
holds love to set us free
to live this life and feel the joy
of learning to perceive this holy place
called here and now—God's divinity.

And when it’s time for us to go
there's nothing left to do
but feel the love from those we've known
who gather in the pews
to bid farewell with loving thoughts
that guide us on that day
into the land of golden light
where love unveils its way
and we become as babes once more,
another step anew.
